Monty and his sons did an excellent job remodeling my house. We went to the studs and Monty’s crew redid everything from plumbing to electrical to tile and kitchen cabinetry. We got several quotes from various contractors and having never had a project near this scale, Monty gave me the most confidence that he could pull off everything we needed. He also gave us an extremely fair quote. Payments weren’t even needed until work was well underway! Another sign that I could trust him.
I’ve already hired Monty for more work as we’ve realized a few more updates we want added to the house - particularly more custom cabinets. I’m in love with my new kitchen cabinets. Having a builder that could make custom cabinets on top of a handling the home remodel was such a dream come true.
I’ve also recommended a few of his subcontractors to my parents and friends who have needed help with their home projects.
The only thing I would do differently was to take more of his suggestions from the start.

Monty did a great job on our beach house renovation and addition of a master bath suite. He was always easy to get in touch with, which was particularly important as we live four hours away from the site. He was professional and followed up on all the myriad details. He was proactively communicative to let me know when there were issues to be resolved. I was able to trust his subs coming and going, and in his judgment and problem solving. Our project did go over initial time estimates, but some of that was out of his control — a permitting holdup, damaged deliveries, etc. — each thing set it back. But the final result was worth the wait!

In May of 2020 we had a major bathroom water leak in the upstairs bathroom and it damaged the ceiling in the garage below and the adjacent bedroom. We had to get three estimates for the insurance claim. That’s how we met Monty Crowder of C and S Construction, LLC. Their estimate was the middle one and most detailed, therefore we chose them and we are very glad that we did. They fixed the leak including the damage to the ceiling in the garage and remodeled the bathroom (new vanity, new high toilet with bidet, new tub, new lighted mirror, new plumbing fixtures, and tiled the shower. Monty suggested Pergo flooring since it is waterproof. We had never heard of it before and we trusted his judgement and found a color/style that we liked. We loved it so much we had them repair the damage in the bedroom and finally remove the carpet we always hated and replaced it with Pergo while also doing a total refresh of that bedroom. We immediately made plans to replace the remaining upstairs carpet and current hardwood flooring downstairs at a later date.
In late 2021, I called my other brother Monty which I call him ( I have a brother named Monty) to get on the C&S schedule to get our next major project started. So in May 2022 the work began, remodeling the master bathroom with a larger shower (with a shower tower that Monty suggested), new soaker tub, new high toilet with bidet, new 72” vanity (which Monty suggested), therefore we just had to get a nice 72” lighted mirror to go with it, tiled shower, tiled heated flooring (which Monty suggested), and new plumbing fixtures. The tile work looked so good that we decided to even tile the bottom half of the walls all the way around, and it came out immaculately I must say. Finishing out upstairs we added a new closet system and Pergo flooring to the rest of the rooms upstairs to include refreshing every room as well. Downstairs we had them install the same Pergo flooring to the entire downstairs, while finally replacing that pedal sink (which we always hated) in the 1/2 bathroom with an actual 24” vanity, new high toilet with bidet, of course another lighted mirror and new plumbing fixtures, while of course refreshing all the downstairs rooms as well, to include accent walls. After it was all said and done it was over a six figure renovation and we can’t be happier with all of the work that Monty and his crew (can’t remember all the names so don’t want to leave anyone out) did to make our home ours and not the model home that the builder designed. And oh, by the way, we had been having problems off and on for a few years with our tankless water heater, so they even installed a new Rinnai tankless water heater as well. So, finally we highly recommend C and S Construction for all your contracting needs, their work is great, they’re very professional and we will always go back to them for any contracting needs we have in the future.

We had two bathrooms completely remodeled from floor to ceiling. Very pleased with both and the tile shower in master bathroom exceeded our expectations. Monty and his team were great to work with and we will call C and S Construction again when we’re ready to begin our next project.
