With over 25 years of experience, we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction and renovation services in Summerville, SC, and the Tri-County area. Specializing in home additions, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), complete home renovations and remodeling, and custom home building, we bring our clients’ visions to life with expert precision and attention to detail.

Monty Crowder

Founder & Master Craftsman

Hi, my name is Monty Crowder, I am the owner and CEO of C and S Construction Group LLC.

We have been serving the low country for over 25 years. We specialize in home renovations and are a 5-star rated company.

I enjoy fishing, hunting and spending time with my family. We are a member of Seacoast Church in Summerville.

I have coached baseball for Summerville Little League, Alston Middle School and Pinewood Preparatory School.

I have been married to my wife Beth for over 33 years and have 4 children and 6 grandchildren.

I believe in living my life, running my business, teaching my children and grandchildren with this in mind: “No matter what – Do the right thing.”

Josh Crowder

Co-Owner & Project Manager

Josh is the Co-Owner and Operations Manager for C and S Construction LLC. His responsibilities include overseeing day to day productions on each job site from start to finish, scheduling sub-contractors, and establishing unique relationships with every customer. Josh also assists with project productions such as demo, tiling, plumbing and electrical, as well as building custom cabinets.

Josh attended vocational school during high school, developing his career in construction and Electrical trade. He has spent over 10 years in the construction industry including scaffolding and remodeling. He currently resides in Moncks Corner with his wife, Deanna, and their two boys Maverick and Barrett.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, going out on the boat, and watching college football, Go Noles!

Replaced wood handrails, pickets and posts with painted wrought iron on front and back porches. Replaced pickets on screen porch and installed cable railing system. Sanded and painted all supporting columns and posts.  C&S was punctual starting and completed project in a timely manner.  We are satisfied with the quality of products used and the craftsmanship of the project. C&S was quick to handle the punch list at end of project. I would hire them again.

We went to the studs and Monty’s crew redid everything from plumbing to electrical to tile and kitchen cabinetry. We got several quotes from various contractors and having never had a project near this scale, Monty gave me the most confidence that he could pull off everything we needed. He also gave us an extremely fair quote. Payments weren’t even needed until work was well underway! Another sign that I could trust him. I’ve already hired Monty for more work as we’ve realized a few more updates we want added to the house - particularly more custom cabinets. I’m in love with my new kitchen cabinets. Having a builder that could make custom cabinets on top of a handling the home remodel was such a dream come true. I’ve also recommended a few of his subcontractors to my parents and friends who have needed help with their home projects. The only thing I would do differently was to take more of his suggestions from the start.

Monty did a great job on our beach house renovation and addition of a master bath suite. He was always easy to get in touch with, which was particularly important as we live four hours away from the site. He was professional and followed up on all the myriad details. He was proactively communicative to let me know when there were issues to be resolved. I was able to trust his subs coming and going, and in his judgment and problem solving.  Our project did go over initial time estimates, but some of that was out of his control — a permitting holdup, damaged deliveries, etc. — each thing set it back.
